Monica Cornetti is Once Again Ranked as the #1 Gamification Guru

Monica Cornetti the Founder and CEO of Sententia, a global consortium of gamification gurus, is once again ranked as the #1 gamification guru in the world by UK-based Leaderboarded.

AUSTIN, Texas - Sept. 15, 2015 - PRLog
-- Leaderboarded’s Gamification Gurus Power 100 ranks players according to their digital impact around the topic of gamification each month. The objective of the leaderboard is to promote greater discussion of gamification by highlighting those with greatest impact on the subject.

Cornetti explained, “Fundamentally, gamification is a technique to influence and engage people to solve problems, perform certain actions, and hopefully have a little more fun while on their way to achieving workplace objectives.”

Gamification of real-world activities represents a powerful technique which can drive motivation in individuals, differentiate an organization from other similar organizations, and help generate loyalty to the organization, its products, or its message.

This isn’t the first time Cornetti has been ranked as the #1 Gamification Guru in the world. Each month UK-based Leaderboarded produces a list of the Top 100 Gamification Gurus in the world using an algorithm that calculates Klout scores, website Alexa rank, and other factors to find the most credible voices in gamification.

When asked about the importance of the ranking as #1 Cornetti replied, “At Sententia, we take the idea of gamification very seriously. Gamification is a complex process that involves multiple stages. It is necessary to understand the objectives of the organization, evaluate challenges in achieving the objectives, and to be familiar with the motivations of employees to reach the objectives.”

She continued, “We publish daily blogs, a weekly gamification talk radio program, a GamificationScope periscope network, free videos, online courses… you name it! As we continue to evangelize the Talent Development field about the power of gamification, many organizations are realizing that by adopting playful, motivational design into their training programs, they are offering employees a much more engaging learning experience. And our case studies show that Gamification is effective for instructor-led, online training, or eLearning programs.”

Cornetti smiled and added, “I've said it before and I’ll say it again… making business processes compelling by making them fun is about the most fascinating and coolest thing I can think of!”

Sententia and Monica Cornetti Launch Gamification Certification Program for Talent Development Professionals

The Sententia Gamification Certification for Talent Development Professionals establishes an internationally-accepted level of knowledge, education and experience in gamification by which talent development leaders will be recognized within the learning and development community.

Austin, TX – January 29, 2015 — Sententia, a global consortium of gamification professionals, and Monica Cornetti, rated as a #1 Gamification Guru in the world, and have launched a gamification certification program designed to educate and equip Talent Development Professionals in the use of gamification as an engagement strategy.

The Certification is designed to establish an internationally-accepted level of knowledge, education and experience with gamification by which talent development leaders will be recognized within the learning and development community. The Certification comprises three levels that include training, research, case studies, assessments, and a comprehensive final design project.

Additionally, the curriculum is backed by a body of knowledge collected from gamification and learning leaders around the globe, and provides a unique training program designed to make the business of learning better. The certification targets individuals who currently design or lead learning functions in organizations, or provide learning services to companies or corporate learning departments of colleges and universities.

“The Sententia certification program prepares HR and L&D professionals to lead the change in the design and delivery of corporate learning programs, which have a long-standing record of failing to meet desired outcomes,” said Monica Cornetti, Founder of EntrepreNow! an international training company. “When we design programs with a smart gamification strategy,” she said, “those same learning programs are changed from dull and boring into engaging and fun.” She continued, “And the organization has the added benefit of clear, measurable outcomes, and proof of positive behavior changes.”

“For too long too many organizations have adopted a “hit and miss” strategy, rather than a planned, monitored, and integrated approach to identifying, engaging, leveraging, developing, and evaluating training programs – the Sententia certification program is going to change that,” asserted Cornetti.

The Sententia accreditation process assures that students and craft professionals receive quality gamification training based on uniform standards and criteria. This process fosters international unity among the gamification industry while providing a defined aptitude path with industry-recognized credentials

As an early adopter of gamification, Cornetti and EntrepreNow! have been designing and delivering gamification programs for clients since 2008.

“I am honored to now be a part of the founding group of Sententia,” said Cornetti. “Sententia is the ONLY organization to offer a gamification certification for Human Resource and Talent Development specialists that is recognized and approved by HRCI, SHRM, and ATD for recertification credits,” she continued. “That’s HUGE for professionals who have invested time and resources in their own continuing education and have worked to earn credibility and recognition in their specific field of expertise.”
